At Pratishtha Holidays, we understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. We are committed to providing a fair and transparent refund policy that aligns with Indian consumer protection laws and best practices in the travel industry. This policy outlines the guidelines for cancellations and refunds.
Booking and Cancellation
Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of the specified deposit or full payment. A booking confirmation will be issued with details of the booking, payment received, and the applicable cancellation policy.
Cancellation by the Customer
* Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (via email or registered mail or through our website/mobile app, if applicable) to Pratishtha Holidays.
* The date of cancellation will be the date on which the written request is received.
* Customers will receive an acknowledgement of their cancellation request within 24-48 business hours.
* Refunds, if applicable, will be processed based on the following schedule:
Revised Refund Schedule
* More than 60 days prior to departure: 90% refund of the amount paid (10% non-refundable processing fee).
* 45 to 59 days prior to departure: 70% refund of the amount paid (30% cancellation fee).
* 30 to 44 days prior to departure: 50% refund of the amount paid (50% cancellation fee).
* 15 to 29 days prior to departure: 25% refund of the amount paid (75% cancellation fee).
* Less than 15 days prior to departure or No-Show: No refund.
Non-Refundable Items
Certain components of the tour package may be non-refundable, including but not limited to:
* Airline tickets (depending on airline policies and fare type).
* Non-refundable hotel deposits or prepayments.
* Visa fees.
* Travel insurance premiums.
* Government taxes or levies.
* Service fees and booking fees, or convenience fees.
* Any deposits specifically labeled as non-refundable at the time of booking.
Amendments to Bookings
* Requests for amendments to bookings (e.g., changes in travel dates, destinations, or passenger names) are subject to availability, supplier policies, and may incur additional charges.
* Amendment fees will be communicated to the customer before the amendment is processed.
* Amendments requested within a close proximity to the departure date (as specified in the booking confirmation) may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking, and therefore subject to the cancellation terms.
Cancellation by Pratishtha Holidays
* Pratishtha Holidays reserves the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, such as insufficient bookings, natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
* In the event of a cancellation by Pratishtha Holidays, customers will be offered:
* A full refund of all payments made.
* An alternative tour package of comparable or higher value (subject to availability and price difference adjustment).
* A credit note for future travel with Pratishtha Holidays, valid for a specified period.
* Pratishtha Holidays will not be liable for any incidental expenses incurred by the customer, such as visa fees, travel insurance, or non-refundable flights purchased separately, unless mandated by law.
* Pratishtha Holidays will notify customers of any cancellation as soon as reasonably possible.
Refund Processing
* Refunds will be processed and credited to the original payment method within 7-14 business days of receiving the written cancellation request and all necessary documentation.
* Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. If the original payment was made by credit card, the refund will be credited back to the same card.
* Bank transfer refunds may take longer depending on the processing time of the customer's bank.
* In case of refunds to online wallets, the refund will be processed as per the wallet's policies.
Travel Insurance
* Pratishtha Holidays strongly recommends that all customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen events, including trip cancellation, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and other travel-related risks.
* It is the customer's responsibility to understand the terms and conditions of their travel insurance policy.
Customer Grievances
* Any grievances or complaints regarding the refund process should be submitted in writing to Pratishtha Holidays.
* Pratishtha Holidays will address such grievances in a timely and fair manner.
Liability
* Pratishtha Holidays' liability in connection with any tour cancellation or refund shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the tour.
* Pratishtha Holidays shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Governing Law
* This refund policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
* Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ambala, Haryana.
Amendments to the Refund Policy
* Pratishtha Holidays reserves the right to modify or amend this refund policy at any time without prior notice.
* The latest version of the refund policy will be available on our website and will be provided to customers at the time of booking.
